On September 3, 2022, my daughter, Sami, passed away unexpectedly. She was 24 years old. There are no words to explain how it feels to lose your child. All I can say is that it changes your life. You do what you have to do to keep on going. I felt pretty lost until I picked up a camera we had in the house and set about mastering it. It was a distraction and something to get lost in. A newer, better camera soon followed. Landscape photography has been my escape, my purpose, and a place to pour out my love. I've taken tens of thousands of pictures, these are a few of my favorites.
I miss you and love you, Sami. I think of you in every sunrise, sunset, rainbow, and beautiful view. I will see you again in a place even more beautiful than this...
