In 2025 I am going to be exploring the night skies.  This is my first star trail image which was taken from my backyard. See the light trail from the Walmart delivery drone on the left? We have that here.

This may be my only shot at the Milky Way this month, and the clouds rolled in with other plans.  Well, I tried.  I so love this barn in the Buffalo River Valley.  Here are several different takes on it...

I'm not sure what this machinery is, but I found it in the woods on a trail in Missouri.  It has been there long enough for a tree to completely grow up through the middle of it and slowly swallow it.  Nature always wins.  This was a little light painting experiment, one of the first I tried.

Haven't taken a lot of indoor pictures, don't even own a flash, but every time I'm seeing live music I wish I brought my camera.  It was intense last night.  All 3 of them reeled us right in with massive crescendos and then down to a whisper.  Outstanding!

In the late 1930's, early 40's, the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) built a lot of the recreational areas we enjoy in Arkansas to this day. This is just one bridge.  It is so well built and solid, I believe it will survive for a very long time.  And it's beautiful.  At the risk of sounding old, they just don't build things like they used to.

The first month of the return of the milky way core, celebrated by astrophotographers everywhere.

I like to think of it as an old bootlegger's delivery truck... Who knows how and when it got here in the middle of the woods.  It's fun to find treasures like this while out hiking.

Long exposure photo of traffic and the restaurant, The Preacher's Son, in downtown Bentonville, AR.  I love the bicycle in the large stained-glass window.  Bentonville calls itself the Mountain Bike Capital of the United States.

Beautiful colors from last summer, saved for a dreary winter day so I could enjoy editing in the middle of winter.
